Dalmo Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Luzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the match, EC Fragata's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Luzea came free, but Dalmo Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Enaut in the 10th minute of play forced EC Fragata's goalkeeper Dalmo Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes, Severo Fanuco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrellas de Caballito and the EC Fragata players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, EC Fragata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Lira to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Geronimo Nisio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrellas de Caballito's supporters rose to their feet, but Geronimo Nisio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dalmo Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Luzea in the 19th minute of play. With a little luck, Estrellas de Caballito's Nunez Astudillo got control of the ball when Juarês Meira tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Higinio Luzea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dalmo Freire was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Higinio Luzea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estrellas de Caballito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Higinio Luzea in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmo Freire saved EC Fragata from getting behind. In the 39th match minute, Estrellas de Caballito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Refugio to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Estrellas de Caballito's Teofilo Enaut got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Higinio Luzea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EC Fragata's Dalmo Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Deivid Lira made a kick off. Romulo Primeiro hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Higinio Luzea scored 0-4 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmo Freire, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. EC Fragata's Dalmo Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save EC Fragata from getting a goal against them. Dalmo Freire made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Higinio Luzea sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th match minute, Estrellas de Caballito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Luzea to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Higinio Luzea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dalmo Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The supporters of EC Fragata booed when Estrellas de Caballito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Fanuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Estrellas de Caballito's Higinio Luzea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dalmo Freire. Dalmo Freire yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Dalmo Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Nisio in the 85th minute of play. With a little luck, EC Fragata's Dalmo Freire got control of the ball when Teofilo Enaut tried to sneak it across the goal line. Norberto Hermes hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 95th match minute, EC Fragata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. Estrellas de Caballito played a much better game than EC Fragata and deserved their victory. The EC Fragata players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
