Leones FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Kaspar Bretzel scored to the left of an out of position Aureliano Obeko, making the score, 1-0. Niko Schulz was shown his second yellow card after 18 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Niko Schulz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Quinto. 1-1 became the score in the 30th minute when Wilfredo Quinto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Nicolas Bizi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 38 minutes into the game, Martin Asier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Niklas Sauter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st minute, Jeremias Cisco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Peyo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Holger Knoche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Aureliano Obeko made a huge save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Holger Knoche to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Nicolas Bizi got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabien Tischler to maneuver through the defense. After 54 minutes, Werner Hermann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. and the Leones FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Leones FC booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Braun didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Quinto in the 78th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Niklas Sauter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leones FC's Jeremias Cisco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Niklas Sauter in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 92nd minute, Jeremias Cisco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niklas Sauter made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Martin Asier sent off a good shot on target. Leones FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
