The supporters of Baraja Española FC booed when Papillon AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Mac Allister didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Benigno Indalecio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baraja Española FC's Cipriano Cugat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Baraja Española FC from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute Benigno Indalecio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Urki's late challenge caught a Baraja Española FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Urki helped the player get up and apologised. Oscar Urki hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Milton Friedman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Papillon AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

László Illés went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 78th match minute, Baraja Española FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Florin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Papillon AC's zone, Benigno Indalecio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keylor Navas came out of the goal and Benigno Indalecio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. László Illés who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Keylor Navas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Benigno Indalecio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baraja Española FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benigno Indalecio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keylor Navas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
