Magic is Back's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabi Batistuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavio Lorencio made a kick off. Maní FC's Higinio Terciero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Potente in the 51st minute of play. Higinio Terciero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldo Potente's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Maní FC's Domingos Salomone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruben Sánchez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabi Batistuta in the 60th minute of play forced Maní FC's goalkeeper Higinio Terciero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Potente recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Higinio Terciero. Osvaldo Potente showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. In the 71stth minute of the game Osvaldo Potente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maní FC's Higinio Terciero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Potente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Higinio Terciero was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Valentin Barco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Higinio Terciero made a huge save. Magic is Back's Valentin Barco managed to work through Maní FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Valentin Barco dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 91 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Potente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-7. Higinio Terciero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
