Pombal 2003 F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arsenio Beat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 12 played minutes Pombal 2003 F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Renan Maciel. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Gilson Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Oalo in the 13th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Leonel Andrade made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Angua FC's Natalio Macerio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Angua FC's zone, Maicon Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Macerio came out of the goal and Maicon Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Pombal 2003 F.C. booed when Angua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Toribio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maicon Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Macerio having to interfere. After 31 minutes, Angelino Ponciano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Angua FC and the Pombal 2003 F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angua FC's Natalio Macerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Andrade in the 33rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Angua FC's Silverio Oalo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilson Arósio. That made the score 2-1 after 40 minutes of play. Prudencio Toribio kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

53 minutes in the game, Leonel Andrade fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Natalio Macerio having to interfere. Gilson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Ponciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Natalio Macerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 71 minutes Angua FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dedê Brodel who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Angua FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Angelino Ponciano hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Duarte Pontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Natalio Macerio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pombal 2003 F.C. reached it. Natalio Macerio made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Maicon Borges sent off a good shot on target. If Maicon Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Oalo in the 83rd minute of play forced Pombal 2003 F.C.'s goalkeeper Gilson Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maicon Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Silverio Oalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pombal 2003 F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Angua FC.
