After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Dennis Ijkwezen managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Ontembare Leeuwen's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Ijkwezen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Tomi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 22 minutes of play Regresado's Marcos Eli was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 23 played minutes Regresado got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Eli. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zacarias Escobar in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Otten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 34 played minutes, Regresado's David Neron shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dave Otten came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Regresado reached it. When Gerardo Gonzalez came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Regresado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Gonzalez couldn't finish the play. If Zacarias Escobar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Tomi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carel Woudenberg in the 44th minute. After 46 minutes of play, Regresado's Gerardo Gonzalez made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Otten was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerardo Gonzalez made a kick off. David Neron charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Neron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. David Neron kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Otto van Zaanen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Regresado's Osvaldo Tomi didn't even have to move. After having played for 57 minutes, Mitchell Terpstra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Ontembare Leeuwen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mitchell Terpstra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When David Neron was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. In the 62nd match minute, Regresado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Neron to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Ijkwezen in the 63rd minute of play. Osvaldo Tomi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carel Woudenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Osvaldo Tomi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jos Brinker in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Gerardo Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Otten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gerardo Gonzalez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dave Otten was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game.
