Aurelio Urritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Andrade in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Leonel Andrade dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Duarte Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Marcos Romildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Arósio having to interfere. Astor Fiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilson Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Astor Fiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Renan Maciel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Aurelio Urritz made a huge save. With a little luck, Perros del sur's Aurelio Urritz got control of the ball when Renan Maciel tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Perros del sur booed when Pombal 2003 F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Pontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 played minutes, Perros del sur's Eulalio Jenaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilson Arósio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Perros del sur reached it. 34 minutes into the match, Perros del sur's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Andrade came free, but Aurelio Urritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Marcos Romildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Hugo Nayely hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astor Fiz struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Gilson Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perros del sur. Perros del sur's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Renan Maciel scored to the left of an out of position Aurelio Urritz, making the score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Astor Fiz was the one to do the kick off. Perros del sur's Aurelio Urritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Andrade in the 54th minute of play. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Gilson Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Pombal 2003 F.C. from getting a goal against them. Esteban Vimaro hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Perros del sur's Aurelio Urritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Maciel in the 64th minute of play. Dedê Brodel hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Dedê Brodel fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pombal 2003 F.C.'s protests and gave Dedê Brodel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th match minute, Pombal 2003 F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Brodel to maneuver through the defense. If Hugo Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes in the game Eulalio Jenaro after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Gilson Arósio. A very good opportunity. The crowd rose to their feet as Perros del sur's Hugo Nayely slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilson Arósio. That made the score 2-1 after 87 minutes of play. Rodrigo Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Aurelio Urritz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perros del sur's Aurelio Urritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Andrade in the 97th minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, Renan Maciel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Urritz. Perros del sur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renan Maciel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pombal 2003 F.C. had won after a very even match.
