Sem Severens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Fiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Nayely fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sem Severens having to interfere. Michel Dauwe charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michel Dauwe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Winksele 2016 getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Michel Dauwe hit a great ball. If Eulalio Jenaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Winksele 2016 booed when Perros del sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Romildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Perros del sur were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Winksele 2016's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perros del sur the free kick. Aurelio Urritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneel Taverniers in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Perros del sur getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Aurelio Urritz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Aelgoet in the 93rd minute of the match. Winksele 2016's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
