Dave Otten made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Johannes Torstensson sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Carl Karlsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dave Otten. That made the score 2-1 in the 46 minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carel Woudenberg made a kick off. If Jens-Ove Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dave Otten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ove Svensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Ove Svensson came free, but Dave Otten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Dave Otten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Linköpings AIK fully deserved thier win.
