Jan-Simon Van Hemel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Osvaldo Tomi made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Regresado's goal looked a bit too open when Corneel Taverniers came free, but Osvaldo Tomi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enzo Astrada during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Regresado's Osvaldo Tomi got control of the ball when Jannis Preuveneer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sem Severens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Escobar in the 24th minute of play. Regresado's Osvaldo Tomi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Regresado from getting a goal against them. Ladislao Montez hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, David Aelgoet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Winksele 2016 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 40th minute, Joos De Middeleer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Michel Dauwe fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Winksele 2016's protests and gave Michel Dauwe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Michel Dauwe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Regresado's Ismael Acuña broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claude Van Dijck was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Gill Uijterhoeven had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldo Tomi. Regresado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gill Uijterhoeven was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 58 minutes into the game, Joos De Middeleer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Osvaldo Tomi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Osvaldo Tomi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joos De Middeleer in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Van Dijck in the 68th minute of play forced Regresado's goalkeeper Osvaldo Tomi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claude Van Dijck in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldo Tomi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Osvaldo Tomi came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Winksele 2016's Joos De Middeleer. But to his dismay, Joos De Middeleer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 76th minute Joos De Middeleer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Tomi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Astrada lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 78th match minute, Regresado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Astrada to maneuver through the defense. Joos De Middeleer scored 7-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldo Tomi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 86 minutes into the game, Winksele 2016's Claude Van Dijck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldo Tomi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. 93 minutes into the match, Regresado's goal looked a bit too open when Corneel Taverniers came free, but Osvaldo Tomi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Winksele 2016 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
