With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natalio Macerio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Flaco López's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natalio Macerio was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Esiquio in the 6th minute of play forced JFSP's goalkeeper Võ Gozali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Luiz Eduardo Montenegro got a free kick in the 7th minute. JFSP's Võ Gozali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Ponciano in the 8th minute of play. Angelino Ponciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Võ Gozali having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Ivan Esiquio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Võ Gozali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Oalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Flaco López's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Natalio Macerio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Claudinei Hermes hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When Ivan Esiquio came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Angua FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Esiquio couldn't finish the play. Pietro Sales kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes JFSP got a freekick which was hit by Pietro Sales. Angua FC's Natalio Macerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Angua FC from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute Pietro Sales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Macerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinei Hermes during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes JFSP got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Hermes. If Flaco López had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Angua FC's Natalio Macerio got control of the ball when Flaco López tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 43 played minutes JFSP got a freekick which was hit by Flaco López. 44 minutes into the game, Luiz Eduardo Montenegro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Angua FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JFSP the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Angelino Ponciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Angua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelino Ponciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Võ Gozali breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Flaco López got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Natalio Macerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pietro Sales in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, JFSP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Barral to maneuver through the defense. In the 84thth minute of the game Denílson Massa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Angua FC's Natalio Macerio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Angua FC's goalkeeper Natalio Macerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Angua FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Eduardo Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time JFSP's players had a chance to rest. Prudencio Toribio tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Natalio Macerio. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 88th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Angua FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for JFSP.
