Géza Gál could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Édouard Mendy made a huge save. In the 12th minute Rômulo Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Kormos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Zsolt Lázár hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Eliseu Alagoano notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos. Róbert Kormos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Al-Fajuth getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Al-Fajuth's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vince Sós in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Léo Ortiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Al-Fajuth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szombathely Squirrels the free kick. Szombathely Squirrels's Géza Gál got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseu Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Róbert Kormos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al-Fajuth. 45 minutes into the match, Eliseu Alagoano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos. Róbert Kormos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Szombathely Squirrels players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Al-Fajuth were winning 0-2.
Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Szombathely Squirrels from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Szombathely Squirrels's zone, Ciro Meireles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbert Kormos came out of the goal and Ciro Meireles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Balázs Pálinkás hit a great ball. With a little luck, Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos got control of the ball when Eliseu Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute, Iván Túri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Róbert Kormos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Maicon Zanette. After 63 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by Zsolt Lázár. Róbert Kormos made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Eliseu Alagoano sent off a good shot on target. Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Károly Tolnay in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Matorin in the 71st minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Róbert Kormos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Géza Gál to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the game, Wilson Matorin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Róbert Kormos. Wilson Matorin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's Vince Sós got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 96thth minute of the game Rômulo Soares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over Al-Fajuth could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Szombathely Squirrels throughout the match.
