The supporters of Challacó booed when Torbellino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonza Bustillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Torbellino's zone, Niceto Cesaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfredo Mikelar came out of the goal and Niceto Cesaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute Gaston Aztore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Iraitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Adan Veto came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Torbellino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adan Veto couldn't finish the play. In the 25th match minute, Challacó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Kiliz to maneuver through the defense. Wilfredo Mikelar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Boni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Ruperto Kiliz put in a rough tackle. In the 43rd minute, one of Challacó:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Challacó. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Torbellino. Joel Cordaryal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dionisio Iraitz. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Adan Veto made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Adan Veto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Challacó's Dionisio Iraitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilfredo Mikelar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Boni in the 54th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Boni in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfredo Mikelar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enrique Hustaz kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Dionisio Iraitz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Challacó's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Boni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee ignored Torbellino's protests and gave Enrique Hustaz a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Challacó defense, Adan Veto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dionisio Iraitz. The Challacó fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dionisio Iraitz should have stopped the shot. Challacó's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
