Vince Sós charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vince Sós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vince Sós to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Matorin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Róbert Kormos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Iván Túri hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 8th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Róbert Kormos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Róbert Kormos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jefferson Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iván Túri during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's Iván Túri got a free kick in the 15th minute. The Al-Fajuth fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Al-Fajuth's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Károly Tolnay scored to the left of an out of position Édouard Mendy, making the score, 1-1. Róbert Kormos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rômulo Soares in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rômulo Soares in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Róbert Kormos saved Szombathely Squirrels from getting behind. Léo Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Eliseu Alagoano took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Róbert Kormos. Róbert Kormos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 37 minutes into the match, Al-Fajuth's goal looked a bit too open when Károly Tolnay came free, but Édouard Mendy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Maia in the 39th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Róbert Kormos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Ottó Vámosi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseu Alagoano succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. Eliseu Alagoano scored 1-4 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Róbert Kormos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amadeu Furlan came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Róbert Kormos could save by the left post. Al-Fajuth's Rômulo Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Ottó Vámosi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Károly Tolnay notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Al-Fajuth's Édouard Mendy. Édouard Mendy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Édouard Mendy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Károly Tolnay in the 90th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Al-Fajuth got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Zanette. Édouard Mendy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Károly Tolnay went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. Károly Tolnay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Édouard Mendy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Szombathely Squirrels supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Al-Fajuth's performance. The match ended with a win for Al-Fajuth.
