Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robinho Pitta started the match with the kick off. Germano Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 3 played minutes Challacó got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Todor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho Pitta in the 6th minute of play forced Challacó's goalkeeper Dionisio Iraitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robinho Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Iraitz having to interfere. Dionisio Iraitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Pitta in the 13th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Virgílio Salgado put in a rough tackle. In the 15th minute, Virgílio Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germano Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Todor in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Challacó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Kiliz to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Andrade's late challenge caught a Challacó's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humberto Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Todor got free with Germano Arósio in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tião da Mata hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Alfonso Boni fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Germano Arósio, passed just outside the right post. Diego Nafarroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Arósio having to interfere. Challacó's Dionisio Iraitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robinho Pitta in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Humberto Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Dionisio Iraitz. Challacó's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Robinho Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Challacó's Diego Nafarroa suffered a concussion after 37 minutes and had to leave the field. A collision led to Clube Atl. Taquaritinga getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Erivaldo Vergílio hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Tião da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Silvano Todor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Challacó's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Todor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfonso Boni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Arósio having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tião da Mata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dionisio Iraitz was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Dionisio Iraitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robinho Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taquaritinga were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Robinho Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Dionisio Iraitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Challacó booed when Clube Atl. Taquaritinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Todor in the 56th minute of play forced Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Germano Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tião da Mata couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Boni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Germano Arósio was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Challacó's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Robinho Pitta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Challacó fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
