He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pombal 2003 F.C. reached it. Károly Tolnay's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Gilson Arósio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 30 played minutes Pombal 2003 F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Salgado. 33 minutes into the match, Renan Maciel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Róbert Kormos. Szombathely Squirrels's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renan Maciel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Maciel in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pombal 2003 F.C.'s zone, Károly Tolnay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilson Arósio came out of the goal and Károly Tolnay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 68 minutes Pombal 2003 F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vince Sós who took care of the corner kick. Vince Sós made a great header on Szombathely Squirrels's corner, it was just that Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Gilson Arósio managed to reach the ball for a save. Vince Sós might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilson Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vince Sós ran back to his position shaking his head. The Szombathely Squirrels fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pombal 2003 F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
