In the 2nd minute, Erivaldo Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the game, Virgílio Salgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave REAL VASCO RIO the free kick. José Pedro Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Humberto Andrade struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Júlio Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atl. Taquaritinga. A collision led to REAL VASCO RIO getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Fred Marinho hit a great ball. In the 11th minute of the match Celso Sabóia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Júlio Catarinense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Fernandes got free with Germano Arósio in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Germano Arósio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alfredo Fernandes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Fernandes in the 17th minute of play forced Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Germano Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germano Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco de Souza in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tião da Mata during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Germano Arósio came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by REAL VASCO RIO's Alfredo Fernandes. But to his dismay, Alfredo Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, REAL VASCO RIO's Horácio Damião got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho Pitta in the 30th minute of play forced REAL VASCO RIO's goalkeeper Júlio Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Robinho Pitta put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Júlio Catarinense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Fernandes in the 34th minute of play forced Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Germano Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Germano Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Fernandes in the 35th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robinho Pitta in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Catarinense saved REAL VASCO RIO from getting behind. REAL VASCO RIO's Júlio Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan da Fonseca in the 37th minute of play. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Alfredo Fernandes scored to the left of an out of position Germano Arósio, making the score, 3-1. Germano Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Fernandes in the 45th minute of the match. Tião da Mata got his second yellow card in the match during the 46th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Tião da Mata hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Fernandes made a kick off. Robinho Pittas short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Júlio Catarinense to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Júlio Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robinho Pitta in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, REAL VASCO RIO's Alfredo Fernandes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Germano Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. 62 minutes into the match, REAL VASCO RIO's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Pitta came free, but Júlio Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germano Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Erivaldo Vergílio hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Germano Arósio came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by REAL VASCO RIO's Alfredo Fernandes. But to his dismay, Alfredo Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Robinho Pitta hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Germano Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Marinho in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Caco de Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Germano Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 77 minutes of play, REAL VASCO RIO's Caco de Souza made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Germano Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the match, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Fernandes came free, but Germano Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, REAL VASCO RIO's Júlio Catarinense got control of the ball when Robinho Pitta tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute, Robinho Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 played minutes Clube Atl. Taquaritinga got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Andrade. Caco de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. If Celso Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Humberto Andrade could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Júlio Catarinense however easily saved by the left post.
