Maicon Zanette charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maicon Zanette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 41 minutes into the match, Galáctico Azul FC™'s goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Soares came free, but Enrique Belasko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eulalio Vincent to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Eulalio Vincent reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Édouard Mendy. The goal made the score 0-1. After a rather tough play, Al-Fajuth's Célio Albuquerque got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Léo Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Al-Fajuth's protests and gave Léo Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Léo Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Belasko came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Al-Fajuth's Rômulo Soares. But to his dismay, Rômulo Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 90 minutes, Eliseu Alagoano made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Galáctico Azul FC™'s Enrique Belasko tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Al-Fajuth booed when Galáctico Azul FC™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Miliano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Al-Fajuth's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
