In the 29th minute, Wilson Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ciro Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 47th minute of the match, Benito Franco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Édouard Mendy was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Wilson Matorin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Camilo Santiago made a huge save. Remigio Inocente kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Ciro Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Big Babousa's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eliseu Alagoano 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. After 78 played minutes Big Babousa got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Tohias. 82 minutes into the game, Rômulo Soares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Camilo Santiago. Rômulo Soares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Rômulo Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Camilo Santiago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
