But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseu Alagoano couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Filomeno Tirso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Esteve Fix's late challenge caught a Al-Fajuth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesar Lekubegi got free with Édouard Mendy in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Al-Fajuth's Jefferson Maia got a free kick in the 64th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Eliseu Alagoano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Filomeno Tirso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento de Resistencia's zone, Eliseu Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Tirso came out of the goal and Eliseu Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eusebio Lazcano hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Filomeno Tirso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Eliseu Alagoano made a precise shot to the right of Filomeno Tirso. Sarmiento de Resistencia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Gabriel Cebo kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match.
