Diamonds FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eugênio Custódio in the 4th minute. It was a well-played corner which Allan Machado managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 8 minutes into the match, Stockholm Generals's goalkeeper Torsten Björnsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shah Tan. Shah Tan might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torsten Björnsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shah Tan ran back to his position shaking his head. Allan Machado's late challenge caught a Stockholm Generals's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Allan Machado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Allan Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes Stockholm Generals got a freekick which was hit by Milan Pavlovský. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Milan Pavlovský in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltazar Diniz saved Diamonds FC from getting behind. In the 18th minute, Sebastião Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match Kurt Holmberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baltazar Diniz skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Milan Pavlovský managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stockholm Generals's supporters rose to their feet, but Milan Pavlovský was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltazar Diniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Diamonds FC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Pilgren came free, but Baltazar Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26thth minute of the game Milan Pavlovský who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diamonds FC's Baltazar Diniz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baltazar Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexis Sánchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltazar Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milan Pavlovský, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Stockholm Generals booed when Diamonds FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Milan Pavlovský put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Baltazar Diniz.
