The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikolaj Pešta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michail Bulant during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Flores da Cunha - RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Meira to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Edgard Prado put in a rough tackle. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Libor Petříček took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ricardinho Moura to make any attempt to save it. Ricardinho Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Libor Petříček in the 47th minute of play. Nuno Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovanni Pontes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Froghino got a freekick which was hit by Lukáš Galásek. In the 54th match minute, Froghino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oldřich Cabák to maneuver through the defense. After 55 played minutes, Flores da Cunha - RS's Roberto Maciel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nikolaj Pešta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Flores da Cunha - RS reached it. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Froghino's goalkeeper Nikolaj Pešta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukáš Galásek in the 86th minute of play forced Flores da Cunha - RS's goalkeeper Ricardinho Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Dobroslav Krutský hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flores da Cunha - RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo de Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Froghino were the better team. Froghino's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
