Lucrețiu Miheș was slow to take the kick. During this time Paralia Athens's players had a chance to rest. Lucrețiu Miheș made a great header on Paralia Athens's corner, it was just that Team E.C Dahls's Lasse Tømte managed to reach the ball for a save. Leonard Chirculescu took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lasse Tømte. After 24 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Costel Neagoe. Doru Apostu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Wahlstrøm in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodor Chirilă during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Paralia Athens's Teodor Chirilă got a free kick in the 31st minute. Doru Apostu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Mellingen in the 32nd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Team E.C Dahls's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Chirculescu came free, but Lasse Tømte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Martin Mellingen fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Team E.C Dahls's protests and gave Martin Mellingen a yellow card for diving instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Mellingen made a kick off. Inge Wahlstrøm charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inge Wahlstrøm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Inge Wahlstrøm hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Carl-Rune Strandheim might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Doru Apostu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl-Rune Strandheim ran back to his position shaking his head. Lasse Tømte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Todericiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Todericiu in the 70th minute of play forced Team E.C Dahls's goalkeeper Lasse Tømte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's Leonard Chirculescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lasse Tømte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76th minute Carl-Rune Strandheim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doru Apostu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot by Stig Kirkevold from long distance, 97 minutes into the match, got Doru Apostu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. There was no doubt that Paralia Athens were the better team. Paralia Athens's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
