Uwe Ziege showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristopher Damian, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Cristopher Damian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uwe Ziege was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 19th minute Cristopher Damian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Cristopher Damian got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39thth minute of the game Cristopher Damian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes in the game Gunther Schößler did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Maurizio Brink. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristopher Damian in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uwe Ziege prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Uwe Ziege made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristopher Damian in the 53rd minute. After 55 played minutes, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hannes Kapell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clemente Savier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rot-Weiss-Essen reached it. In the 59th minute Cristopher Damian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Ziege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Cristopher Damian made a precise shot to the right of Uwe Ziege. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Uwe Ziege stood somewhat misplaced when Cristopher Damian came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 65 minute. The audience was convinced that Cristopher Damian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uwe Ziege was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Salas in the 71st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristopher Damian in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uwe Ziege prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78thth minute of the game Cristopher Damian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelo Salas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Cristopher Damian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uwe Ziege. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristopher Damian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. In the 93rdth minute of the game Cristopher Damian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute Björn Mokros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Savier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
