In the 22nd minute, Ciriaco Cordarrell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clemente Savier was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. SAN LORENZO FC's Julio Ferman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eber Mendizabal in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Marcelo Michael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Barrera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Ferman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Julio Ferman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Barrera in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eber Mendizabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Savier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When Rodolfo Parrini fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s protests and gave Rodolfo Parrini a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 56 minutes, Ciriaco Cordarrell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAN LORENZO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Cordarrell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the game, ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Cristopher Damian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The corner ended in Marcelo Michael almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Clemente Savier did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Salas in the 77th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Julio Ferman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marcelo Salas 78 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. Marcelo Salas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Ferman came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcelo Salas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 83rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Salas in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Ferman saved SAN LORENZO FC from getting behind. Julio Ferman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eber Mendizabal in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Isadoro Lurquín hit a great ball. Julio Ferman made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Cristopher Damian sent off a good shot on target. After 97 minutes of play, ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Marcelo Salas made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Ferman was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
