In the 3rd match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Senna to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Granadero10's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Tasso came free, but Sydney Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute Teodoro Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Senna in the 25th minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Dráuzio Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Diniz scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sydney Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 31 minutes Granadero10's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vladimir Lima who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in Granadero10's zone, Teodoro Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sydney Barros came out of the goal and Teodoro Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Teodoro Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 0-3 became the score in the 45th minute when Teodoro Diniz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodoro Diniz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Granadero10's goalkeeper Sydney Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válter Varela. In the 59th minute, Valdomiro Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sydney Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Víktor Vergílio in the 62nd minute of play. Pedro Augusto Capixaba's late challenge caught a Bandelocos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Augusto Capixaba helped the player get up and apologised. When Tostão Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Bandelocos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tostão Tasso couldn't finish the play.
