David Nyman scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filip Mirciulescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivar Albohm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dragoş Ivasiuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Lövkvist during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute of the match Lucrețiu Jitaru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivar Albohm showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Iacob Martinescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. BVB 09's Filip Mirciulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börge Kristiansson in the 24th minute of play. Börge Kristiansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filip Mirciulescu came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Strömsbro IF's David Nyman. But to his dismay, David Nyman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Börge Kristiansson in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filip Mirciulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filip Mirciulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börge Kristiansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, BVB 09's Ciprian Moldovan got a free kick in the 36th minute. Filip Mirciulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Nyman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes, Marius Agulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BVB 09 and the Strömsbro IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Strömsbro IF booed when BVB 09 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Agulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Börge Kristiansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 46 in the game by Dragoş Ivasiuc from a close distance when the talented Ivar Albohm managed to make a qualified save. Strömsbro IF's players were relieved. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dragoş Ivasiuc made a kick off. Filip Mirciulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Nyman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by David Nyman. Börge Kristiansson had several of the BVB 09's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Filip Mirciulescu as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some careless play in the BVB 09 defense, Börge Kristiansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filip Mirciulescu. The BVB 09 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filip Mirciulescu should have stopped the shot. The supporters of BVB 09 booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Åke Forss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivar Albohm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Ivasiuc in the 84th minute of play. Börge Kristianssons short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Filip Mirciulescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. During the 94th minute of the match Thomas Lövkvist completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Thomas Lövkvist a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a defensive mix-up in Strömsbro IF's zone, Dragoş Ivasiuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivar Albohm came out of the goal and Dragoş Ivasiuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Strömsbro IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BVB 09 throughout the match.
