Astreix&ObelixSoccer's Ian Little proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Astreix&ObelixSoccer from getting a goal against them. LavAzzA's Iwan Lepucki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sacha Lilley in the 11th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Astreix&ObelixSoccer's goalie and right to Kuno Kubin. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Astreix&ObelixSoccer's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 16th minute Manuel Viñaspre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Lepucki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 18th minute of play forced Astreix&ObelixSoccer's goalkeeper Ian Little to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaudencio Lekubegi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Little read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Gaudencio Lekubegi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ian Little. Astreix&ObelixSoccer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaudencio Lekubegi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Gaudencio Lekubegi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, LavAzzA's Ian Little threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaudencio Lekubegi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nat Firth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Iwan Lepucki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Manuel Viñaspre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the LavAzzA defense, Sacha Lilley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iwan Lepucki. The LavAzzA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iwan Lepucki should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Astreix&ObelixSoccer getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Andrejs Upītis hit a great ball. Sacha Lilley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iwan Lepucki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sacha Lilley in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, LavAzzA's goal looked a bit too open when Sacha Lilley came free, but Iwan Lepucki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sacha Lilley made a kick off. If Sacha Lilley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sacha Lilley in the 67th minute of play forced LavAzzA's goalkeeper Iwan Lepucki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LavAzzA's Fred Feuerstein was substituted for Mo Salah. Astreix&ObelixSoccer's Stig Svanberg was substituted for Gunnar Retov. Iwan Lepucki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank McLintock, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Frank McLintock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Iwan Lepucki made a huge save. Frank McLintock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Lepucki having to interfere. After 80 minutes, Franc Fabra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LavAzzA and the Astreix&ObelixSoccer players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, LavAzzA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franc Fabra to maneuver through the defense. Sacha Lilley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iwan Lepucki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Frank McLintock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Lekubegi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Gaudencio Lekubegi made a precise shot to the right of Ian Little. Astreix&ObelixSoccer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Frank McLintock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Iwan Lepucki made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LavAzzA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Astreix&ObelixSoccer had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
