Gaudencio Lekubegi hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Abel Etor scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iwan Lepucki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iwan Lepucki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Soriano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iwan Lepucki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Etor, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicasio Thomas saved GUTIERREZ SC from getting behind. LavAzzA were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after GUTIERREZ SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amerigo Labarra took the corner. In the 20th minute Eduardo Soriano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Lepucki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iwan Lepucki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herbert Lizewski in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Lizewski in the 23rd minute of play forced LavAzzA's goalkeeper Iwan Lepucki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 minutes of play, LavAzzA's Gaudencio Lekubegi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicasio Thomas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Samir Kastrati kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Nicasio Thomas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match, Eduardo Soriano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iwan Lepucki saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kuno Kubin might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicasio Thomas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kuno Kubin ran back to his position shaking his head. Nicasio Thomas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaudencio Lekubegi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Gaudencio Lekubegi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Thomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Herbert Lizewski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iwan Lepucki was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 60th minute of play forced GUTIERREZ SC's goalkeeper Nicasio Thomas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Gaudencio Lekubegi took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Nicasio Thomas to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Claris in the 64th minute of play forced LavAzzA's goalkeeper Iwan Lepucki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of LavAzzA booed when GUTIERREZ SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Eudoxio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Amerigo Labarra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicasio Thomas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 73rd match minute, GUTIERREZ SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Eudoxio to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in GUTIERREZ SC's zone, Gaudencio Lekubegi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicasio Thomas came out of the goal and Gaudencio Lekubegi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicasio Thomas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Gaudencio Lekubegi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicasio Thomas. GUTIERREZ SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaudencio Lekubegi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 88th minute, LavAzzA's Gaudencio Lekubegi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicasio Thomas. Nicasio Thomas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gauthier Spiller got free with Nicasio Thomas in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 92 minutes into the match, GUTIERREZ SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Lekubegi came free, but Nicasio Thomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The LavAzzA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
