Brujas KV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Curcio Carballeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Club Getafe Deportivo's Jairo Castellano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Club Getafe Deportivo from getting a goal against them. Adolfo Grau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vlad Ţăranu in the 22nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Vlad Ţăranu sped through Brujas KV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adolfo Grau. With a little luck, Club Getafe Deportivo's Jairo Castellano got control of the ball when Fulgencio Nikola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brujas KV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zachary Pliszka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Brujas KV manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Club Getafe Deportivo to win.
