Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elpidio Francis started the match with the kick off. Nicanor Porfirio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Elpidio Francis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Lázaro Colon made a huge save. In the 7th minute of the match ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a corner. Juniors FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miguel Prosperi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Rafael Dalmu to a score. 1-0 in the 7th minute. In the 12th minute, Elpidio Francis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lázaro Colon. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner. Miguel Prosperi went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 22nd minute, Uriel Isias made a precise shot to the right of Branislav Velchevski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ezequiel Barco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Branislav Velchevski having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Isias came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Isias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Elpidio Francis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Nicanor Porfirio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Porfirio in the 44th minute of the match. If Nicanor Porfirio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Uriel Isias was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 52nd minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elpidio Francis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicanor Porfirio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Branislav Velchevski having to make a save. Lázaro Colon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elpidio Francis's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lázaro Colon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lázaro Colon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 76 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Suarez. Juniors FC's Prospero Furman was substituted for Daniel Loi. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis. Juniors FC's Severino Garikoitz was substituted for Nicanor Porfirio. Bonifacio Suarez kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Arnaldo Gabon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Monclús in the 81st minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Juniors FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Miguel Prosperi was slow to take the kick. During this time ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Arnaldo Gabon got a free kick in the 87th minute. Juniors FC's Lázaro Colon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Monclús in the 92nd minute of play. In the 92ndth minute of the game André Monclús who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juniors FC's Lázaro Colon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miguel Prosperi hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Juniors FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA.
