GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Siöberg came free, but Betão Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artemio Domenech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucjan Werra in the 18th minute of the match. Godfredo Mikeldi's late challenge caught a GKS Katowice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godfredo Mikeldi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, C.A.JORGOVAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Mikeldi to maneuver through the defense. Betão Pontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils Siöberg's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 43rd minute of the match, Santiago Mattin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Betão Pontes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, GKS Katowice's Cezary Kasiewski got a free kick in the 46th minute. Betão Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Siöberg in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucjan Werra to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Borys Kiszkiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nils Siöberg scored 4-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Betão Pontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 58 played minutes GKS Katowice got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Sokolski. In the 58th minute of the match Santiago Mattin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Betão Pontes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Siöberg in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cezary Kasiewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.A.JORGOVAN made a substitution. Eulalio Galindo replaced Nils Siöberg. 71 minutes into the match, Gervasio Bermund notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes. Betão Pontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eulalio Galindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Betão Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervasio Bermund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Betão Pontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, C.A.JORGOVAN's Eulalio Galindo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Betão Pontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Eulalio Galindo sped through GKS Katowice's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Betão Pontes. The audience was convinced that Eulalio Galindo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Betão Pontes was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 88th minute Eulalio Galindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, one of GKS Katowice:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GKS Katowice.
