When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Radamel Aguero sped through GKS Katowice's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Betão Pontes. Betão Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radamel Aguero in the 7th minute of the match. Radamel Aguero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by GKS Katowice's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Santiago Salcedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Flores da Cunha - RS's players had a chance to rest. If Radamel Aguero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radamel Aguero in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Betão Pontes saved GKS Katowice from getting behind. Betão Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radamel Aguero, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Radamel Aguero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Radamel Aguero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão Pontes having to interfere. Betão Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Goodwin in the 36th minute of the match. After some careless play in the GKS Katowice defense, Radamel Aguero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betão Pontes. The GKS Katowice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betão Pontes should have stopped the shot. Betão Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radamel Aguero in the 43rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, GKS Katowice's Ismael Mendes threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cezary Kasiewski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 46th match minute, Flores da Cunha - RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Fittipaldi to maneuver through the defense. The GKS Katowice players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Flores da Cunha - RS were winning 0-4.

Betão Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Goodwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by GKS Katowice's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Betão Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Goodwin in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, GKS Katowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Brysz to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Flores da Cunha - RS's Radamel Aguero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Betão Pontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in GKS Katowice's zone, Alex Goodwin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betão Pontes came out of the goal and Alex Goodwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. GKS Katowice's Ludomir Zacharek was substituted for Cezary Kasiewski. Alex Goodwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Betão Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes got control of the ball when Radamel Aguero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Percy Teixeira hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Radamel Aguero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Betão Pontes having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Emerson Fittipaldi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flores da Cunha - RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson Fittipaldi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Flores da Cunha - RS booed when GKS Katowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konrad Komanski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Betão Pontes was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Radamel Aguero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Radamel Aguero really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. When the final whistle sounded Flores da Cunha - RS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GKS Katowice.
