Jurand Cempa started the match with the kick off. Luca Savino might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miroslaw Gollob. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luca Savino ran back to his position shaking his head. After 9 minutes, Blas Lertxun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kickers United and the Zacisze Częstochowa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cederik Huts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jurand Cempa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jurand Cempa in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cederik Huts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Jurand Cempa put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cederik Huts. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Jurand Cempa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zacisze Częstochowa's supporters rose to their feet, but Jurand Cempa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cederik Huts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cederik Huts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurand Cempa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Cederik Huts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurand Cempa in the 29th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Zacisze Częstochowa's Jurand Cempa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cederik Huts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Kickers United getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Benjamin Vandekerkhove hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luca Savino to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Kickers United got a freekick which was hit by Niels Vandamme. Cederik Huts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Alonso in the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jurand Cempa got free with Cederik Huts in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jurand Cempa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Cederik Huts made a huge save. In the 72nd minute Luca Savino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslaw Gollob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Blas Lertxun was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. Kickers United's Renaud Van Hautvinck got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Jurand Cempa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cederik Huts was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Zacisze Częstochowa left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kickers United.
