When the match had been going on for 8 minutes, Palermo AFC's Marcelo Domiku got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jerzy Dziechciowski. 11 minutes into the game, Palermo AFC's Rodrigo Bautista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jerzy Dziechciowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 21st minute Ares Milikowsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Jeraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Rodrigo Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Bautista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerzy Dziechciowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerzy Dziechciowski was a little too slow when Rodrigo Bautista got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 3-1. In the 29th minute Rodrigo Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Dziechciowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Wahadłowiec booed when Palermo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Udalaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Rodrigo Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Dziechciowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wahadłowiec's Jerzy Dziechciowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Bautista in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Rodrigo Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Dziechciowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Rodrigo Bautista made the kick off in the second half. When Ares Milikowsky fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wahadłowiec's protests and gave Ares Milikowsky a yellow card for diving instead. Rodrigo Bautista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Ximeno Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palermo AFC's Jesus Dalmu was substituted for Egon Lätte. Wahadłowiec's Wasyl Drzewucki was substituted for Klement Wawrukiewicz. Rodrigo Bautista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wahadłowiec made a substitution. Mădălin Gabriel replaced Boruc Pozorski. In the 73rd minute, Rodrigo Bautista made a precise shot to the right of Jerzy Dziechciowski. Wahadłowiec's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. A sloppy throw-in by Severo Leheren in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Wahadłowiec's Ximeno Almeida. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrigo Bautista in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerzy Dziechciowski saved Wahadłowiec from getting behind. In the 83rd minute, Rodrigo Bautista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerzy Dziechciowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. 86 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Gabriel came free, but Primitivo Jeraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Rodrigo Bautista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerzy Dziechciowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Palermo AFC had won after a very even match.
