Gustavo Souza started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes FALCÕES VERDES got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Mangueira. In the 11th minute Adelino Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdo de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alessandro Mangueira went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gustavo Souza's late challenge caught a FALCÕES VERDES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Souza helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FALCÕES VERDES booed when EDI MZB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdo de Queirós didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FALCÕES VERDES's Alessandro Mangueira shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After some careless play in the EDI MZB defense, Bruno Lenzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdo de Queirós. The EDI MZB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdo de Queirós should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Oswaldo Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FALCÕES VERDES's Richard Vieira got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute Gustavo Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as EDI MZB's Gustavo Souza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan dos Santos. That made the score 1-4 after 39 minutes of play. In the 43rd minute, Gustavo Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valdo de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Lenzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Lenzi to make the kick off. A collision led to EDI MZB getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Fábio Alves hit a great ball. Rubens de Toledo got in the 51st minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Valdo de Queirós and thus it was 1-5. With an all-out effort, FALCÕES VERDES's Valdo de Queirós threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Isaltino Castro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Evandro Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Adelino Sampaio fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FALCÕES VERDES's protests and gave Adelino Sampaio a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes FALCÕES VERDES got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Sampaio. Isaltino Castro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 73rd playminute. In the 78th minute, Alessandro Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Juan dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessandro Mangueiras short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Valdo de Queirós to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. FALCÕES VERDES played a much better game than EDI MZB and deserved their victory. The EDI MZB players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
