In the 18th minute of the match Claudinei Branco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio de Azevedo skillfully saved the ball. The referee showed Marco Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sérgio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulysses Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Sérgio de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Paranaense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Dias struck a weak shot in the 54th minute.
