Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Marinho in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Marinho in the 17th minute of play forced Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Soares came free, but Matías Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Matías Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matías Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rômulo Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rômulo Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Aníbal Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilson Matorin got free with Matías Valle in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Pedro Luiz Marinho hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes Al-Fajuth got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Matorin. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Luiz Marinho made a kick off. After 53rd play minutes Rômulo Soares shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Matías Valle and just under the crossbar into goal. If Eliseu Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciro Meireles charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Meireles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th match minute, Al-Fajuth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Matías Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 95th minute of the match. Al-Fajuth's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
