When the match had been going on for 11 minutes, JFSP's Flaco López got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sérgio de Azevedo. Denílson Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Sérgio de Azevedo made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Flaco López managed to get in a good position for a shot. JFSP's supporters rose to their feet, but Flaco López was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sérgio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flaco López in the 25th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Paranaense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, JFSP's Flaco López nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The JFSP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Sérgio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flaco López in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, BMB IMOVEIS SC's Hortêncio Maia got a free kick in the 71st minute. The audience was convinced that Flaco López's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sérgio de Azevedo was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, BMB IMOVEIS SC's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Massa came free, but Sérgio de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. JFSP fully deserved thier win.
