Olympique Gdynia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luan Toro ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Victoriano Iratzeder got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tanek Ostrowski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 19 minutes into the match, 17 de enero team's goal looked a bit too open when Şota Arveladze came free, but Zoran Simović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Czeslaw Domeracki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Zoran Simović made a huge save. If Şota Arveladze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th minute, Olympique Gdynia's Şota Arveladze ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zoran Simović. Zoran Simović yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Victoriano Iratzeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zoran Simović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noam Chomsky in the 34th minute of the match. Tanek Ostrowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Isidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Dante Obano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gamus took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tanek Ostrowski. Tanek Ostrowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Czeslaw Domerackis short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Zoran Simović to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, 17 de enero team's Zoran Simović got control of the ball when Tirso Isasaga tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victoriano Iratzeder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Tirso Isasaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Simović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
