Carel Van de Schrieck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Lendaa in the 4th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludwig Kloots got free with Pierre Peeters in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Romain Mesmakers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Tom Beaune put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carel Van de Schrieck. Carel Van de Schrieck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Beaune in the 27th minute of the match. Pierre Peeters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 龚康松, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Romain Mesmakers made a precise shot to the right of Pierre Peeters. Lyon 69ers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by 龚康松 in the 39th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Pierre Peeters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Café DE PLOEG's zone, Aloísio Lendaa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carel Van de Schrieck came out of the goal and Aloísio Lendaa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd match minute, Lyon 69ers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Lecanu to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aloísio Lendaa to make the kick off. When Lyon 69ers's Tom Beaune in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pierre Peeters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Kloots, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 79th minute Ludwig Kloots shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre Peeters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herbert Sempels in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pierre Peeters saved Lyon 69ers from getting behind. Herbert Sempels took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pierre Peeters. Pierre Peeters dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Sempels in the 94th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Pierre Peeters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Café DE PLOEG fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lyon 69ers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
