Lyon 69ers's Pierre Peeters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frerk Hentschel in the 33rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aloísio Lendaa in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulli Hartwig saved Buffalo Bills from getting behind. Ulli Hartwig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Lendaa in the 43rd minute of play. A hard, long distance shot from Adalbert Jantzen flew over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aloísio Lendaa was the one to do the kick off. Klement Praski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierre Peeters read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 50th minute of play. Tom Beaune fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulli Hartwig having to interfere. But to his dismay, Tor Hjeltman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Buffalo Bills fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lyon 69ers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
