Alp Koral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ömer Demirci went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the match, CİMBOMBOM's goal looked a bit too open when Önder Ünlü came free, but Alp Koral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sezen Arısal scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şemsettin Tuyuğ, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çakabey Olcaytu in the 19th minute of play. After 23 minutes CİMBOMBOM's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Peng Yang Guang who took care of the corner kick. KOCAELİSPOR's Peng Yang Guang was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alp Koral in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sezen Arısal got free with Şemsettin Tuyuğ in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ömer Demirci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th match minute, CİMBOMBOM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yaşar Sebuktekin to maneuver through the defense. Reis Tezveren hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The corner led KOCAELİSPOR's Peng Yang Guang to fire away a dangerous shot which Alp Koral despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save KOCAELİSPOR from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fábio Pessoa to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Baba Yorgun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in KOCAELİSPOR's zone, Çakabey Olcaytu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şemsettin Tuyuğ came out of the goal and Çakabey Olcaytu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çakabey Olcaytu in the 60th minute of play. When Ömer Demirci came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the KOCAELİSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ömer Demirci couldn't finish the play. KOCAELİSPOR made a substitution. Alp Koral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aşır Zabit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alp Koral had great luck who in the 92ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Aşır Zabit from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 93 minutes, Claudio Delgadillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KOCAELİSPOR and the CİMBOMBOM players grew even worse after the yellow card.
