After taking down the ball on MIK Focus ŽILINA's corner Stancho Basarov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ondrej Fratrič quite easily take care of the ball. The audience cheered when Stancho Basarov's long shot passed Ondrej Fratrič's right side. It was 1-0, 17 minutes into the match. Ladislav Vališ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juraj Schmidt in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Jarne Vloeberghs reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ondrej Fratrič. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of MIK Focus ŽILINA booed when FC Stinking Dogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslav Sedlák didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ondrej Fratrič stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarne Vloeberghs's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, FC Stinking Dogs's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Erdődy came free, but Ondrej Fratrič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarne Vloeberghs got free with Ondrej Fratrič in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the match, FC Stinking Dogs's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Erdődy came free, but Ondrej Fratrič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarne Vloeberghs in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ondrej Fratrič saved FC Stinking Dogs from getting behind. Ján Mečiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ladislav Vališ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juraj Schmidt to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarne Vloeberghs in the 64th minute of play forced FC Stinking Dogs's goalkeeper Ondrej Fratrič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ondrej Fratrič tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Lukáč Hanigovský ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ondrej Fratrič was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After 97 minutes of play, MIK Focus ŽILINA's Jarne Vloeberghs made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ondrej Fratrič was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MIK Focus ŽILINA fully deserved thier win.
