The audience thought a goal was coming when Gunnar Brændgaard got free with Ladislav Vališ in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gunnar Brændgaard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ladislav Vališ having to make a save. Gunnar Brændgaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislav Vališ having to interfere. In the 46th minute Jarne Vloeberghs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhou Yuan Feng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Jarne Vloeberghs took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zhou Yuan Feng. Zhou Yuan Feng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 59 minutes into the match, FC Stinking Dogs's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Macrez came free, but Zhou Yuan Feng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ladislav Vališ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Pesce in the 61st minute of play. Bohdan Seno made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Stinking Dogs's Bohuslav Tomas. Zhou Yuan Feng was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jarne Vloeberghs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 66 minute of play. Alvaro Pesce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislav Vališ having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Daniel Kontšek put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ladislav Vališ. Despite being the better team, MIK Focus ŽILINA failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
