An unexpectedly hard shot by Ximenes Oñatibia in the 15th minute of play forced Sαηgrε Azuɭ's goalkeeper Luciano Ferran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Real Salsa F.C. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. In the 36th minute Adrian Orzaize shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greger Fribäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sancar Yağınalp to make the kick off.
