The audience thought a goal was coming when Cordero Sánchez got free with Domenico Tenaglia in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Montechiarugolo AFC's Domenico Tenaglia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quilino Talavera in the 7th minute of play. The corner ended in Zuberoa Gomar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Montechiarugolo AFC's Domenico Tenaglia did a great save. In the 11th minute Quilino Talavera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Tenaglia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match Hispania got a corner. Montechiarugolo AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zuberoa Gomar ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 13th match minute, Hispania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lamberto Bergada to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Attilio Cavanna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Morientes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Montechiarugolo AFC booed when Hispania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivareo Novo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes, Montechiarugolo AFC's Aurelio Orecchioni shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jairo Morientes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montechiarugolo AFC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Felip Contratas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hispania's supporters rose to their feet, but Felip Contratas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domenico Tenaglia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the game, Flavio Combi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montechiarugolo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hispania the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Montechiarugolo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Combi to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Attilio Cavanna to make the kick off. A collision led to Montechiarugolo AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Cosimo Ragazzoni hit a great ball. Jairo Morientes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Croce, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute of the match Cosimo Ragazzoni shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jairo Morientes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jairo Morientes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Attilio Cavanna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Montechiarugolo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Cavanna. In the 68th minute, Felip Contratas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dave Croce in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jairo Morientes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Attilio Cavanna kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Hispania's Quilino Talavera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domenico Tenaglia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Montechiarugolo AFC's Attilio Cavanna got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Attilio Cavanna made a precise shot to the right of Jairo Morientes. Hispania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 93 minutes into the match, Hispania's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Croce came free, but Jairo Morientes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes Montechiarugolo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ferruccio Caretti. After having played for 96 minutes, Felip Contratas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hispania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felip Contratas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 1-1. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.

All the players looked a little tired when it was time for the first half of the overtime. It was Hispania's Quilino Talavera that got to make the kick off. Montechiarugolo AFC's Domenico Tenaglia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quilino Talavera in the 101st minute of play. In the 102nd minute, Aurelio Orecchioni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domenico Tenaglia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quilino Talavera, who was totally free with the ball in the 103rd minute. The supporters of Montechiarugolo AFC booed when Hispania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 111 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivareo Novo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Attilio Cavanna took the ball and in the 113 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jairo Morientes. Jairo Morientes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Montechiarugolo AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
