In the 5th minute of the match Atlético Nacional got a corner. A.A. Cachila's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kang Wei Yue ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Kang Wei Yue got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Epifanio Gabrio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A.A. Cachila's Cesar Cordarrel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alexsandro Mandrak in the 18 minute of the game. Alexsandro Mandrak made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by A.A. Cachila's Cesar Cordarrel. Angelo Distiratsu came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by A.A. Cachila's Terri Moco. But to his dismay, Terri Moco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terri Moco in the 29th minute of play forced Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Angelo Distiratsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Epifanio Gabrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Berasko, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A.A. Cachila's Epifanio Gabrio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Cachila from getting a goal against them. In the 39thth minute of the game Terri Moco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Nacional's Angelo Distiratsu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Epifanio Gabrio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eric Oltean got free with Epifanio Gabrio in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Joaquin Lizardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute of the match, Eric Oltean tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Epifanio Gabrio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 45 minutes, Cesar Cordarrel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.A. Cachila and the Atlético Nacional players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Cesar Cordarrel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Terri Moco to make the kick off. Angelo Distiratsu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Terri Moco in the 52nd minute. Terri Moco struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Angelo Distiratsu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.A. Cachila. Atlético Nacional's Angelo Distiratsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terri Moco in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Atlético Nacional booed when A.A. Cachila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Cordarrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, A.A. Cachila's Cesar Cordarrel got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Angelo Distiratsu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Terri Moco. Rodrigo Astudillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Angelo Distiratsu made a huge save. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Nacional's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonas Orlo was slow to take the kick. During this time A.A. Cachila's players had a chance to rest. 76 minutes into the match, Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Angelo Distiratsu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Astudillo. A.A. Cachila's Epifanio Gabrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Rodas in the 81st minute of play. Epifanio Gabrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Azevedo in the 87th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eric Oltean in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Epifanio Gabrio saved A.A. Cachila from getting behind. Angelo Distiratsu was a little too slow when Rodrigo Astudillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-2.

The Atlético Nacional manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing A.A. Cachila to win.
