Real Södertälje's Baraxil Sarrate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Garcia in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute Acercate Y Patea de Lejos were awarded a corner. Gustavo Tartalo went to the cornerflag to take it. Ricardo Bochini was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Horácio Garcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Baraxil Sarrate made a huge save. Real Södertälje's Reynaldo Cerezo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Su Kun, made in the 20th minute of the game. In the 25th minute Bennvar Nickler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Podgoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Bochini made in the 27th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Horácio Garcia. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's attentive Yves Ayral managed to snatch the ball when Alf Fribäck made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Acercate Y Patea de Lejos defense, Bennvar Nickler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Podgoreanu. The Acercate Y Patea de Lejos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Podgoreanu should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute, Bennvar Nickler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Podgoreanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Baraxil Sarrate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Ayral, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horácio Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Ralf Björk with Evelio Rico as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 63 minutes into the match, Horácio Garcia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baraxil Sarrate. Real Södertälje's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horácio Garcia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Real Södertälje's Birger Hedberg was substituted for Evelio Rico. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Natalio Guter was substituted for Yves Ayral. A collision led to Acercate Y Patea de Lejos getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Joaquin Rufio hit a great ball. Baraxil Sarrate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Gervaso in the 73rd minute of play. Real Södertälje's Baraxil Sarrate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosendo Gervaso in the 76th minute of play. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Rikard Wolff scored to the left of an out of position Emanuel Podgoreanu, making the score, 1-3. Baraxil Sarrate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Gervaso, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Hedberg got free with Emanuel Podgoreanu in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Acercate Y Patea de Lejos getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Joaquin Rufio hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Hedberg got free with Emanuel Podgoreanu in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baraxil Sarrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Guter in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Real Södertälje's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Gervaso came free, but Baraxil Sarrate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Natalio Guter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baraxil Sarrate. Real Södertälje's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Natalio Guter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3.

When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Real Södertälje had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
