Jean-Louis Van Bever didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Pirro went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Åkesson got free with Cornelio Cordearo in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KFC Cromvelde eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
